National Manufacturing Debate, May 2016

The 7th National Manufacturing Debate took place at Cranfield University on 25 May 2016.  Over the past 7 years, Cranfield University has welcomed over 1,000 delegates to its factual, open discussions which have discussed key issues within the manufacturing sector.

This year’s theme was Accelerating UK Manufacturing Growth and the keynote was given by the Business Minister Rt Hon Anna Soubry MP.  Additional speakers were Hamid Mughal, Global Director of Manufacturing at Rolls Royce, Terry Scuoler, CEO at EEF, Anna Leach, Head of Economic Analysis at CBI, Phill Cartwright, CTO at the HMV Catapult, John Reid, General Manager at Michelin Tyres, Grant Jamieson, MD at Winkworth Machinery, Brian Holliday, MD at Siemens Digital Factory, Prof Sir Peter Gregson, Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor at Cranfield University, Prof Tom Stephenson, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Research and Innovation at Cranfield University and Prof Rajkumar Roy, Director of Manufacturing at Cranfield University.

The EPSRC Centre in Ultra Precision joined other EPSRC Centres for Innovative Manufacturing as exhibitors at this event.
