Cambridge Science Festival, March 2015

The Cambridge Science Festival gives the public the opportunity to explore Cambridge Science. The Science Festival provides the public with opportunities to explore and discuss issues of scientific interest and concern and to raise aspirations by encouraging young people to consider a career in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. Thanks to the generosity of the University, its sponsors and partners, most of the events are free.

This year, the Watch it Made® team attended the Festival on Saturday 21 March, providing local school children the opportunity to get involved in engineering by making their own personalised watch.

“I learned about how many different parts of a watch there are and how they’re assembled”

“I learned how designing, manufacturing and assembling go together to make something”
