Year 8 pupils from Goldington Academy, Bedfordshire were at Cranfield University this month making their own personalised watches with the Watch it Made® team.
Pupils had the opportunity to use the precision machines in the studio to print their personalised watch dials, diamond turn their watch cases and engrave the watch back plate with their own message. Finally, they assembled their pieces into their own personalised watch.
The pupils also had a tour of the Precision Engineering laboratories to see and learn about similar machines found in the studio but on a larger scale, which included diamond turning and milling machines.
